What I learnt From Writing

Through this art communication, record keeping, and history are explored. Writing is basically in the everyday place within the world, be it in an office, writing official documents, books, poetry and even love letters. To be effective as a writer, a person needs to have basic knowledge of the words that compose writing. By use of writing people are able to express their feelings and their perception of various things. Personally, I cannot view a world where writing is not incorporated. Simple language, stylistic devices and a flow of thoughts made ‘Animal Farm’ an interesting read. Orwell’s readers would therefore be introduced to a story that is simple and congruent to all the levels of his readers. Being a writer requires a person who holds a broad perception of the world as it is, making the simplest of things seem and feel important and worth noting (Mayers 123).

Orwell justified this through all his writings where he mostly based his themes of the type of governments that existed throughout the societies across the globe. From George Orwell’s type of writing I learnt that a writer needed to understand the world and the mechanics that made it tick. It is important to write on a topic that a person understands and is knowledgeable about. When you write what you know, you infuse facts that make writing easier and not complex. When a person writes effectively and efficiently, they are driven by a purpose and this purpose is propelled by a need to write anything. Stephen associated himself with writings that are in the category of ‘horror’ however, he has broadened to other genres as well (Smythe np).
