Fact and fiction in the trung sisters

The Trung sisters represent the remarkable figures of women participation in the fight against the Chinese. Their involvement in the liberation f the Vietnamese is told a mythological story that has some mystical aspects as well as facts. The two sisters were born in northern Vietnam and ruled the country for three years after rebelling against the Chinese hence the country regards them as the national heroines who shaped the history of the liberation of the people in the country. Therefore, this paper aims to analyze the facts and fiction concerning the mythological story of the Trung sisters. During the fight by the Vietnams against the Chinese, the history of women involved was not fully documented, but the available sources confirm their participation and heroic deeds.
