MPA Statement of Purpose

Will you allow me to drink from your fountain of knowledge and keep the wheel of life moving? We have all faced challenges, but the important thing is our ability to pick and dust ourselves when life tries to knock us down. My parents migrated from Guatemala to the US in the early 1980s during the Civil War that had engulfed the better part of Central America. No sooner had we settled, than the American Dream was an illusion. My family had to survive in the cold streets where violence and murder was the order of the day. However, my parents remained optimistic and alive like grass growing on a cracked pavement. My career objective is to combine my educational background with an MPA degree and become the director of operations at the school I currently work in.
