The 7 P’s elements of the extended marketing mix. Figure 1. above shows all the components of the extended marketing mix, where the first four P’s constitute the product marketing mix whereas the next three P’s are the elements added to make the extended marketing mix. The three elements were incorporated in the marketing mix after people in the business environment started to adopt to services. Afterwards, people realized that the 4 P’s alone could not justify the marketing mix because services provision came into picture (Ivy, 2008). The right people should also be placed in their appropriate places so that the company can benefit from their efficient service provision. For instance, se Haigh’s Chocolates can have a diligent waiter who has interpersonal skills to serve customers.
