Implementation of new processes or projects in an institution is easily carried out using this model. The planning, testing, and feedback mechanisms in the model allows an organization to fix the snags and to improve the new process at the implementation stage without risking all the resources used in the project. The model is also useful where processes have to be checked for progress. The checking stage of the process ensures that the processes which have been adopted are checked if they are an improvement from the old processes before they are fully adopted (Lodgaard, 2012). The four phases of PDCA The PDCA management model is carried out in a four-step process. Do Phase The Do stage in the model is involved with the actual implementation of the solution identified in the Plan stage.

This stage follows the step identified in the plan stage. Data on the new process is collected for analysis. Observation is also carried out to identify the effectiveness of the new process. Check Phase Check stage is involved with the checking of the new process. The solution to the problem would be to cut the use of fuels in running machines in the company without significantly increasing their operation cost. Few types of machinery which could use hydroelectric power were identified, and the model was rolled out. Data was then collected to check the effect this had on the operation cost.
