Researching on the internet has significantly affected people’s ability to concentrate mainly because instead of reading to understand they skim through pages and titles just to grasp the most obvious details rather than focus on in-depth facts (Carr 324). People have stopped the culture of reading which was critical for gaining knowledge and brain development. The internet has altered people’s mental habits to a point where it’s like they are programmed to do things in a certain way.
