The business concentrated on its expansion in Canada by spending billions of dollars and projection of the profit was to be shown in the year 2021. The Target Canada had 1,801 retail store locations with over 1000 employees. As Target expanded, there was a lot of anticipation from the clients as the competitors also developed fear. Despite all this, Target Canadian still failed miserable in both the domestic and international market. Identify all the problems Target Canada encountered that prevented it from becoming a successful retailer. Technology Target’s problems that led to its failure were also contributed by technology. The software that was being used for pricing had to undergo modifications in order to be able to provide accurate measurements systems and the same was also used in converting currencies.

The system could not be relied on because it could not identify or compute the locations of the shelves as required. The other thing is the system had problems that the transaction process could not be relied on. How much of Target Canada’s problems were technology based? Explain your answer There were so many problems that were caused by technology at Target. Most of the products could not be scanned as the self checkout stations failed to give details of correct prices. The software was bought in Israel in one of the firms called Retalix. It was not standard and so Target decided to continue working with it. This led to Target losing billions of dollars. How responsible was management for Target Canada’s problems?
