The principal research methods used by journals in research conduction are the quantitative and qualitative techniques. Under these, much concern has to be placed on the research design that has been used as it affects the evidence level. Example of designs used in quantitative research include; experimental, descriptive, and correlational while in qualitative research there is; case study, historical, and narrative designs (Baškarada & Koronios, 2018). In qualitative research, a researcher to understand the opinions, motivations, and reasons. Its methodology incorporates focus groups, in-depth or unstructured interviews, and article reviews and theories are formulated using a primary inductive process. Since statistics form the core in scientific researches necessary for evidence-based practices, comprehending statistical measures is a requisite in the field of nursing.
