Strategic planning is an organizational larger and a long-term that helps the organization to put a focus on the way attain the established goals in the future. It connects the various functions in the organization including finance, sales, and marketing. Therefore, Strategic participation is essential for human resource professionals who wish to increase the influence in their respective organizations. There is need to involve the human resource at the strategic level if the company wants to attain the desired goals and for future use. HR strategic involvement is positively associated with HR service quality in the organization. In a survey conducted in July found that 65 percent of the CEOs agreed on the opinion that HR are more involved with the senior management as it was before.

Consequently, it is believed that 73 percent of the CEOs in the organizations have incorporated data from the human resource into their business strategies. Most of the organizations today do not involve human resources at the strategic level. A review study on a strategic role in Australian companies that was conducted in indicated that HR is integrated into the strategic planning. This is due to their ability understanding of the HR at the bottom line. In addition, HR helps in improving the organization's bottom line with the knowledge of how human as a capital affects the company and analyzing the benefits. Human resources specialists today are experiencing the pressure to be more strategic and that many companies still treat HR as a transactional, department which is more technical that does a lot of expertise to offer.
