Laying waste by Sasha Chapman: summary The paper is about food wastage in the writer’s house. The writer notes there is more wastage on holidays which are normally taken to be times of excesses. In some families there is over expenditure on food which is partly associated with having children who demand for a lot of food and older people who find solace by going to shopping spree.
