The study specifically aims at knowing the perception of the public community on recycling – how is it important, and are we doing it, and if so how best can we improve it. Recycling is a very important aspect of our daily lives. In our day to day activities recycling comes in for quite a number of reasons. One commonly known but ignored reason is care for environment. Ideally our environment is our responsibility. The core analysis involved questioning on the importance of recycling and how important they think the recycling mattered to the country and the economy as well. On specific analysis on the recyclable material, the respondents were also asked their response on how often they do recycle their plastic bottles and aluminum cans.

This was coupled with information on the importance of stickers and signs on the recyclable materials – the plastic bags and aluminum cans. The interview specifically covered the frequency of filling green bin on the respondent’s house, and why they recycled. Finally the research also touched on the options that buildings provided on their premises for green recycle bins. Apparently 5. 26% believe recycling is a totally bad ideas. However, 23. 68 % of the respondents said they cared much about the recycling which leaves most people caring in what appears to be as though it really doesn’t matter or have impacts to their daily lives. Concerning how soon these individuals recycled their plastic material, the question was treated to be of importance and its results portrayed a very big difference between the caring group and the non-concerned.

The level of education also played part. When the level of education is low, people tend not to care much about the environment around them. Sometimes they may not care at all, and that just settles it. The younger the generation, the more the wasting of recyclable materials. The expected generation of the future actually does not take care of the looming waste management crisis. The young generation need to completely change its mindset and rethink about the value of recycling. Reusing is an essential part of our everyday lives. In our everyday exercises reusing comes in for a significant number of reasons. One normally known however overlooked reason is tend to condition. Preferably our condition is our obligation. This has to be coupled with a serious implementation of the green bins for collecting recyclable wastes.
