Therefore, the employee is expected to be loyal and diligent in their dealings as a way of safeguarding the employer’s interests. The employer should also not illegitimately and unnecessarily invade on the employee’s freedoms by pursuing practices that qualify as an infringement of privacy, coercion, and undue influence. Furthermore, the employees should be shielded from practices that amount to discrimination on such basis as age, gender, or even race while being given a supportive working environment that is not hazardous to their health while also being able to meet their parental responsibilities. The most significant impact of ethical theories on the responsibilities and rights of both the employers and the employees is the essence of striking a functional balance between morality and the provisions espoused by a democratic and free society.
