TASK 1 Different ways of carrying out different observation in class Little has been discussed on the actual meaning of observations (McCutcheon 1981). However various descriptions have been given to explain what class observations means. Classroom observations can be formal or informal ways of observing teaching methods employed by teachers in various learning institutions. Formal classroom observation can be defined as a quantitative method of evaluating class behaviors about the events carried out or behaviors and how they are recorded. Classroom observations play a key role in running of learning institutions. They are mainly used to provide teachers with constructive information that help in improving classroom management. These roles will be discussed later in the topic. The first section of this paper explores different observational techniques employed in carrying out different observations in class.
