Title: Epic of Sunjata Analysis Name: Course: Institution: Professor: Date: Introduction Many artists around the world have been communicating important information about their observations in order to enlighten the group of people they targets with their art work. In addition some artists are very important culture preservers since they preserve the cultural activities happening in their respective communities in their well written materials such as poems and novels. Interestingly some of the artists had written their work several centuries ago but their message remains relevant even in today’s era. Such artwork includes an epic poem that described Malian emperor founder by the name Sundiata Keta and their cultures which date back to the 14th centuries when these cultures were very strong and strictly adhered to. In this essay there is description of a poem ‘Epic of Sunjata’ (also called epic of Sundiata) describing the characteristics of his parents and this prepared Sunjata onward to show the queen mother that he was capable of leading the community as entrusted. Conclusion In conclusion this essay has discussed the ‘epic of Sunjata’ poem which described Sunjata as the founder of Malian emperor. The essay also looked at some characteristics of Sunjata’s parents which helped Sunjata make the leader. This epic describes how different kingdoms conducted their activities. Many leaders however were seen to be cruel which oppressed people and denied them justice. Sunjata journey from birth to been branded king of kings is well described in this epic.
