Adoption of gun policies that will make firearms difficult to access
Most of the patients admitted to intensive care units are usually victims of gun violence. According to statistics, each day one person dies because of gun violence. Occasionally mentally ill children and wrongdoers obtain guns. Therefore, more laws need to be enacted to make guns difficult to get and to educate the mass about gun safety. This way the rate of gun violence in the Illinois will be significantly reduced. Many reported gun violence is because of robberies, rage, and gang conflicts (McCarthy, 2014). The rate of criminal gun homicides is higher compared to when a gun was used for self-defense purposes. Such reports can be used in validating enactment of laws that will make it difficult for individuals to obtain guns in the country.
