Document Preview:

Name: Professor: Course: Date: Easing Gun Restrictions in College Increases Crime Thesis Statement Allowing guns to colleges does not help to stop crime. Instead it endangers the lives of both the students and the staff. Webster Daniel W. et al. "Firearms on College Campuses: Research Evidence and Policy Implications." (2016). The author of the article presents two rivaling perspectives regarding whether guns should or should not be permitted in schools. The author argues that if anyone advocates for or proposes for the restriction of guns in colleges then the proposal should abide by constitution of the US as well as the various laws and constitutions of the states. The author presents two sides of the debate arguing that while college campuses may be viewed as safe places free of criminal activities they are also not the safest places and most of the crime related to guns are conducted in David B. Order Description:

This is a complete bibliography of all the sources you have found for your paper, including any that you used in previous assignments on your topic. The annotated bibliography will, most likely, have sources that you are NOT going to use in your paper--that's okay, too. It is always good to have more sources than you need in case any turn out to be not appropriate, or not available if you need to go back to the source for more information. You should have at least 10 sources on this annotated bibliography in MLA citation style (including any that you are using in your refutation). Remember that your sources cannot be from social media, or blogs, or Wikipedia, and you want EXPERTS in the field. Stories from national newspapers are okay for one or two of the sources (as long as they are using credentialed, acceptable sources themselves), but ideally, many of your sources should be from academic, scientific, or scholarly journals. Use the FSU Library--they subscribe to databases that will be helpful in finding appropriate sources. A Google search is not a great idea--there are not appropriate filters to weed out the useless or the inane. A better option is to use Google Scholar--the sources there are more useful
