Social Development Name Professor Institution Course Date Introduction Social development can be defined as prioritizing human needs in the progression and growth of the society. Social development also is said to govern the norms and conventions that govern human interaction. The main focus of social development is to improve the lives of regular citizens especially the poor regardless of their gender and to make the society a better place for everyone to live in. The role of social development is better evidenced by five measures which include clubs and associations civic activism interpersonal safety intergroup cohesion and gender and equality (Crosby & Smith 2016). This paper emphasizes on the issue of social development based on the reading of Cinderella Ate My Daughter as well as viewing of the movies Cinderella Beauty and the Beast and Frozen. In the latter two movies female appearance was featured as a theme. When for all children both boys and girls to watch because they give them a break from reality to get lost in a different world where anything is possible.
