, Dowdle Krista K. and Fincham Frank D. The paper comprises of a research carried out in a large sample of emerging adults in premarital relationships to show influence of the parental conflicts and divorce on this population. Braithwaite et al. (2016) shows that parental divorce as well as the parental conflicts has a great impact on the well-being of their offspring across numerous domains; including the high risk of experiencing divorce in their own marriages. It also predicted that the connection between the divorce or conflict and the outcomes in the offspring can be mediated through having less relational commitment, more liberal attitudes toward divorce and less attachment. The method used by the study was the selection of the participants attending introductory family science course in the public university with a credit for participation.
