As she delivers the speech, she reaches out to both genders so as to bring out the severity of gender inequality. There however seems to be imbalance between the three appeals as she emphasizes on pathos more than the others. As Emma delivers the speech at the United Nations, she manages to reach out to both genders and not only the females in order to bring out the impacts that come along with gender inequality. For the entire speech, Watson emphasizes on the causation of the issue of gender inequality while at the same time she persuades everyone to take part in fighting it. Emma clearly defines her stand as a feminist and it can be seen from the speech that she is proud to be one.

She also makes us of emotional vocabulary to show us that men are also forced to conform to the belief that they are masculine. She states, “I have seen young men suffering from mental illness unable to ask for help for fear that it would make them look less. Men are being imprisoned by gender stereotypes. ” This assertion by Emma does bring out the vulnerability that men face just like their women counterparts. So as to strengthen her argument, Emma makes use of anecdotes from her own experiences that led her into the path of feminism. This is a statistic that makes a projection of when the world will ensure there is gender equality but it seems to some degree a logical fallacy.
