He constructed as psychological development theory covering an entire life of a person. Every stage is a crisis or challenge that needs to be resolved before moving to another stage. In life people face and live in different environments with diverse people and this contributes to the different values of a person. One's upbringing and in their society reflects the values of a culture. In light of the objective of this paper I was able to talk to my mother and understand some of her aspects of life and experiences. Therefore this paper will present an autobiographical account of my mother's movement through the eight Erikson's psychological stages. The first stage is the trust versus mistrust. According to Erikson in this stage infants tend to learn trusting develop integrity when they see themselves leading a successful life. According to my mother her wish is that when she reaches this stage to see her life as productive and not feel guilty of her pasts. She wants to satisfied with life and develops integrity. My Voice/Conclusion Evidently life is a series of challenges and lessons that assist us to grow and Erikson's theory is helpful for understanding human development. My mother's psychological autobiography has helped me with personal development and awareness. The solutions for the crisis have created a better understanding of how I should pursue a better development. I have learned that to pass through every crisis successfully requires me to maintain a balance between the two dispositions representing every crisis. Work Cited Knight Zelda G.
