Many even cant imagine going a few hours without it. Many of the gadgets people use and their everyday tasks are run by this wonderful source of power. Without electricity one would not be able to make coffee in the morning or even make a call to a distant relative. Electricity is perhaps the greatest invention ever and it has lead to development of some of the greatest technological innovations like computers the light bulb mobile phones etc. But not everyone gets to enjoy this gift. Residents of the Fox Islands of North Haven and Vinalhaven suffer from very high electricity cost three times that of the national average (Lassiter et al 2001). The two island are among the few remaining island that are not Baker. Community Support also played a large role in the success of the project. Customer commitment is also an important tool that the company could use to improve its operations. Although the project's initial capital cost was high the project reduced the electricity cost of residents by 17% within the first year of operation. The company through contracts and agreement with other key plays in the energy industry has ensured that residents in Fox Island get affordable electricity year round. The Wind Project achieved it objective of providing residents of Fox Island with an cheaper source of electricity.
