For an organization to run smoothly, supervisors should be in a position to tell when there is conflict and try bringing the involved parties together and resolving the disagreement. Conflicts in an organization can be two types, that is, personal and structural. The discussion will be revolving around the two trying to establish how they cause conflict in an organization. As earlier mentioned personal factors are one cause of conflicts in an organization, and they include; communication barriers, personalities, values and ethics to mention a few. According to Muscalu (2015) in every organization communication is vital; hence poor communication can be termed as the primary cause of conflicts. The second type of conflicts is caused by structural factors such as jurisdictional ambiguities, specialization, interdependence, and goal difference and may more.
