It is an important function of the human resource professionals since new talents; skills are necessary for a company to achieve its goals and for the success in a continuously changing market. Companies with a strong commitment to their staff use both internal and external recruitment techniques to find key talents. This paper discusses the important concepts relating to both internal and external recruiting their advantages and the one that is mostly used by employers to meet some specific needs in the organization. Internal Recruiting Internal recruiting refers to the hiring technique where the current staffs of an organization are assessed to determine if any of them have the required skills and talents to perform specific tasks to ensure the success of the organization (Chan 556). The characteristics of the job position should take center stage when selecting the right person to assume the new role. This will ensure that the tasks relating to that position are completed in a professional manner. Internal recruitment is cost effective hence; the organization will not have to spend a lot of money in the hiring process.
