Also the religious status of the people of England being Christianity they migrated seeking to expand and better their faith. The British also had an interest in converting the Indians in North America into Christians. Specific groups such as the puritans had separated from the church in England and were out seeking to do what they had failed to do as the church in England. The protestant Christians were not accepted in the British society and had to find a place to practice their faith. Moving into new land with no rules and form of governance made it easier to build their faith. The poor British thought of going to America in search of gold and become rich. The need for land and homes also made some part of Britain’s population to move to America away from the oppression they were facing as a result of strict land reforms imposed by the government.
