For example Whites have higher chances of accessing employment opportunities social class better education and healthcare services and higher living standards than blacks. A similar scenario can be observed in the other three social constructs. In retrospect this essay discusses social inequalities concerning four social constructs namely; race ethnicity gender and sex. Race-Based Inequalities Race-based inequality is one of the prevailing social vices in most contemporary societies including America and UK. In the workplace white workers enjoy a disproportional preference at the have more opportunities of accessing employment workplace promotions higher social ranking positive social reception and inclusion and accumulating wealth. Minority populations get perceived as threats and thereby the majority erects some barriers to impede their development. Ironically even though society members condemn these forms of alienation they seem to be accepting the existence of inequalities as part of their lives. However by strengthening human rights laws the government can overturn some of the mentioned inequalities. References Colgan F. & Rumens N. (Eds.). (2014).
