However there have been several discussions regarding the negative effects caused by the teacher unions on the performance of the students. Due to this most of the states have proposed legislation to curtail the collective bargaining rights of the teachers while others have completely not allowed the establishment of the teachers collective bargaining (Rober 125). Therefore this paper will explore the pros and cons of the teacher unions as it affects the cons and pros. It is therefore important for these unions to find a better balance that ensures that it addresses concerns of teachers and improve the performance of the students.
