The highest powered incentives, on the other hand, take place through financial payment according to individual performance. The Hospital Readmission Reduction Program (HRRP), present in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is one of the highest power incentives that aim at reducing the rates of hospital readmissions occurring in the healthcare delivery systems (Burgess, & Hockenberry, 2014).
