The four levels of responsibilities Philanthropic, ethical, legal and economic responsibilities. Philanthropic responsibilities appear at the top of the pyramid of CSR, and it occupies the smallest space. It is concerned with the roles and responsibilities a company should take in the society. It is the role of every manager to ensure that the company operates responsibly as a good corporate citizen. The manager should ensure that the film gives back to the society the best possible results (Manner, 56). Ethical responsibility is the third level in the pyramid. The corporate manager is obliged to do what is right, fair and just to others including employees and society at large Manner, (61). He/she should ensure that the firm operates in a manner consistent with societal expectation.
