It is comprised of crematorium and dissection table. This book talks about the criminal activities that take place between the fair and the killers’ hotel room. The author has used stylistic devices and themes to enable successful delivery of his message. The story I divided into four parts. In this paper, I will discuss the events taking place, the authors theme and point of view. He also talks about how the two architects met flashbacks. According to the story, Burnham is born in New York then move to Chicago in an attempt to fulfill his dreams of joining Harvard or Yale university. His dreams do not come true since, he fails the tests assigned in order to join any of the two universities.

He returns to practicing architecture, where he meets John Root. They bond perfectly and build a firm together. Many things that affect the success of the Fair construction arise in this chapter. Chapter 11 marks the beginning of part the story. The author uses tension to capture the attention of the reader. No one knows if the construction of the fair is still on. He also outlines the challenges affecting the Fairs success. Chapter twenty-five brings part two to an end. The events are taking place two years after the story began. Different characters have revealed their real characters. The number of people killed continues to increase. Daniel continues to face challenges as foreshadowed by the Daniel is so determined to give Chicago the best fair (Erick).

Chapter 30 describes the complete character of Holmes. As stated in the story, Holmes prefers being near his victims and listening to their struggle and pleas as they die. This explains that his a heartless murderer. Watching young innocent girls struggle to stay alive makes him feel good. This chapter is titled ‘Modus Operandi’, which means that killing has become a normal routine in Holmes Hotel. For instance, the construction of the Fair attracts more people. Building a hotel near the fair gives Holmes a chance to attract people who get late and spend the night there. He is also aware that young women are more likely to attend the Fair compared to people in other ages and Gender. The government is also corrupt and does not care about the wellbeing of its citizens.
