The most industrialized nations suffer a lot as there are many emissions from production firms. Among the primary indicators of environmental pollution are smog and fog. Decades ago winter fog also known as ‘pea-soupers ’ was believed to be caused by burning of domestic and industrial coal. This is true but there have been other contributors to the formation of fog in the recent times. For instance people now own cars than in the 19th century. Increase in the number of private vehicles leads to increased smoke emissions that raise the rate at which fog is formed. Winter smog and fog are made when a tiny layer of the atmosphere becomes cooler than the one above it (Chavan 2016).
