Student’s name Professor Course Date Mathematics in basketball When exploring the mathematics behind making shots in a basketball game I realized that short players make successful shots with a lot of ease. This was after I had analyzed the basketball team for my school and noted that short players made more shots than the tall players. Mathematics is very important in making shots in a basketball game especially when you want to use free throw to make the shots. Free throw is quite important in basketball particularly for the short players. In basketball free throw is important especially during the last minutes of the game as it earns more point if you make a shot using free throw. This kind of shot is very easy in the basketball as the player has all space with him or her no close distractions and no defense. With this type of shot last minutes of the game as it earns the team more points. For short players this is the easiest type of shot for them. For a player to make a successful shot he or she need to maintain eye contact with the target maintain balance and stance and also have a good grip of the ball. Works Cited Caglayan Gunhan.
