Student name Professor’s name Course Date Favoritism in business Summary This is a business plan to bring about justice in business setups. Favoritism as a bad business practice will be expounded an instance where it has been observed will be highlighted and its dark side is also given. Finally the proposed steps to eliminate and substitute it with fairness will be recommended. Description The act of denying certain rights to some individuals in preference to another person who may not deserve is termed favoritism (Li & Meng 10-14). Rights denied to an individual can be the right to salary equality the right to a job promotion the right to off-duty period pay rise et cetera. Gender inequality at work is an example of favoritism; it can involve men and the authorities provide a channel for reporting unfair treatments. Bosses should be enlightened on the advantages of observing justice at their work. Conclusion For any business to be successful justice must be observed for their employees and to extension the community. If the proposed changes are not recognized it results in the business failure. For example the use of unqualified employees due to adverse selection of workers leads to poor production. Also one important aspect of tackling unfair worker treatment is through government interventions. Works cited Li Meng.
