Applied Military Psychology Name Student Number Course Institutional Affiliation Introduction The military is the primary organization that works towards the protection of the civilians as well as the enhancement of the sovereignty of a nation. Societies have been at war for centuries. The rise of civilizations ensured that societies could claim territories where they are able to access the resources which are available in the region (Zinchenko Veraksa & Leonov 2011). However when other societies could not have the same resources due to various issues most communities resorted to war rather than attempt peaceful means of negotiating for the same items. Thus civilizations decided to create warriors who were trained to protect the valued resources of the society and also invade other regions to increase the number of resources when theirs were depleted. Nevertheless as the societies continued to advance the issues which lead to war also increased. Ultimately the skills developed in the venture. Therefore the trained soldiers will be able to carry out operations effectively even when undergoing extreme physical and mental conditions. References Belenky G. (1997 January).
