Name: Tutor: Course: Date: GLOBAL WARMING Global warming is the increasing average temperature of the earth atmosphere. I believe that global warming exists. My reason for this is that there is always a continuous rise in temperature around the globe ADDIN CSL_CITATION { "citationItems" : [ { "id" : "ITEM-1" "itemData" : { "DOI" : "10.1088/0034-4885/68/6/R02" "ISBN" : "0038200500174" "ISSN" : "00344885" "PMID" : "15961661" "abstract" : "'Global warming' is a phrase that refers to the effect on the climate of human activities in particular the burning of fossil fuels (coal oil and gas) and large-scale deforestation which cause emissions to the atmosphere of large amounts of 'greenhouse gases' of which the most important is carbon dioxide. Such gases absorb infrared radiation emitted by the Earth's surface and act as blankets over the surface keeping it warmer than it would otherwise be. Associated with this warming are changes of been shrinking of Greenland and Antarctic ice sheet which surely fully indicates the existence of global warming. Reply 2 I agree with your definition of global warming of the Earth. Indeed the facts of the existence of global warming are diverse. The amount of carbon dioxide in the atmospheres is high as you have stated. You have stated that this comes as a result of carbon dioxide emissions that have escalated over the past few years. As such you have not indicated what happens to this high level of carbon dioxide that makes it cause melting of ice. However it is accurate that over the years the rate of ice melting has been high which proves the existence of global warming. I also agree that since global warming affect places like ice caps it should also have an effect on people’s lives because it causes a rise in sea levels. [...]
