Later in the year 1919, the portrait was transferred to the museum of Rodin commonly referred to as Musee Rodin (Musee Rodin 1). Auguste Rodin (1840-1917) was major French sculptor that was involved in making complex sculptures that used the human body as a demonstration of realism. Rodin’s sculptures were mainly based on celebrating physicality and individuality just like The Kiss is a sculpture that uses the human body to elaborate realism and celebrate physicality and individual character (Getsy 32). Currently, the Marble is displayed at Musee Rodin and is owned by Musee Rodin (Musee Rodin 1). Analysis Basically, The Kiss is made up of marble that has high resistance to corrosion. The sculpture is mainly made up of two body figures that are directly intertwined. An interaction of tone and softness of the sculpture make it aesthetically pleasing from different angles enhancing the ability of the image to illustrate love when looked at from different points. Rodin primarily indicated that the reason as to why he chose to keep the figures in the sculpture nude is to ensure that there was no any element that could directly or indirectly interfere with all natural and raw emotion that each and every viewer notes soon after looking at the sculpture (Rodin and Cécile 32).

This aspect creates both power and meaningful contrast. Shadow and light are placed on the sculpture using natural precision that is in two major forms. Among them are the creation of a romantic atmosphere and enhancing physical traits of the two bodies in the sculpture. Through this technique, the image meets its primary objective of depicting love and erasing the fate that is held in the event in the sculpture (Chang, Kathleen R. , et al. The contrast between the two intertwining bodies that is enhanced through the use of shadows, lighting, and the difference in the attributes of the two bodies is the main aspect that enhances the emotional capability of the image. The romantic atmosphere that is as well influenced by the elements of contrast and lighting and that is the basis of the value of the sculpture.
