The world was changing across the globe and specifically in US where I lived as part of the Asian community who had migrated to US. By 1910, the Asians who were living in Chicago were less than 1,500. The social changes greatly altered the lives of musicians, composers and even the makers of musical instruments. Earlier on, musicians were being employed by the church or the court and majorly they acted as servants to the Aristocratic circles. The music composers were writing songs that were to be performed in that kind of venues, and the music makers were also producing music that was to be played to the wealthy patrons or their servant musicians. This owes to the fact that orchestras had a larger string of sections with a full complement of brass, woodwinds, and more percussion instruments.

New orchestras were coming up that allowed for the greater facility and more accurate play was being introduced. The composers such as Johannes Brahms, Hector Berlioz, and Richard Wagner producing musical orchestras that resonated well with my musical tastes based on their musical forms, performers and instruments throughout the nineteenth century. I liked listening to music through radio as it was the mainstream media which was starting to be used after the newspapers. This music was being played via radio broadcasting and most of the musicians were relying on the radio to get their songs out to be listened to by many people during the advent of the 19th century. I would have wished that I take my education to the highest degree level.

This was not to be hence making me earn a Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Because those who had education during that time were few, I was quickly absorbed into local even though racial segregation was very strong at the time when it came to employment. The job was good and it was well paying and this made me forget education as I was able to afford most of my basic needs and still had the cash to spend during my leisure time. I saw my future as bright, that I was able to lead a comfortable life with a good family. Using typewriter was one of the basic needs that we were taught once I joined my college education. Using it was therefore paramount at my workplace.
