Therefore this paper will provide a succinct analysis of the reasons as to why the poor in the of social control” (1978 pg.9). Conclusion It is clear from the above-mentioned that poor people have always been subject to incarceration more often than those individuals who are in the upper and the middle class. among the reasons why poor people end up in incarceration is the biasedness in the criminal system increased courts imposed fines and fees barriers of acquiring basic needs for the ex-convicts and the societal view of the poverty as crime.
