Homeless individuals are likely to alienate themselves from the rest of the world as they try to cope with their difficulties. Moreover, homelessness leads to health complications, one is likely to commit suicide or even suffer from a drug overdose. However, different conditions and factors lead to people being homeless or being evicted from ones domicile (Fischer, 2010). The causes of homelessness range from personal entrapment to health issues. The number of homeless individuals has increased compared to a decade ago due to poverty, domestic violence and mental illness and substance abuse. Domestic violence occurs when women, children, and some men are abused emotionally, mentally or physically. In the case of domestic violence between couples, separations lead to one party or even the children being homeless.
