[Your Name] [Instructor Name] [Course Number] [Date] Role of the Registrar in the U.S. And Italy. In the 1900’s with the nomination of Mr. Reynolds who was the first register this title became official. In the bulletin of the metropolitan museum of art issue number 4 of volume 2 in 1907 his duties were published. The role of a registrar or his duties are not considered new or have been recently formed. The duties and tasks of the registrar are still the same from the early 1900’s until today the only difference is the evolvement of duties because of emerging innovations like technology. For such innovations other roles are formed within the same organization like for example bio curator or digital data analysts. By definition a registrar is a person who is officially responsible for the keeping of official documents or a register (Goodwin 2005). In other companies he implementing policies and procedure in a museum. He collects packages ships and documents all the artefacts in a museum. He also is aware of where everything is even when in transit. He has to form a working relationship with his workmates like the curator as they are interdependent in their duties. European systems and the American systems differ greatly and their cultural work environment is very different. Works Cited Goodwin M. (January 01 2005).
