Normally a nurse has to consider the following before delegating any task: are there suitable resources and equipment available to facilitate the process required, does the delegate possess the required knowledge and skill needed, and finally does the environment in consideration offer optimum conditions to enable the process? Suppose these conditions are sufficiently meet tend a nurse has the “right” to delegate otherwise delegation can have legal consequence (Barrow & Sharma, 2018). It is important to note that patients who may show signs of becoming unstable or those who not stable are not good for this purpose. A good example of delegation is a scenario where a doctor in charge of a patient appoints his or her colleague who is also licensed to take of their patient at some point.
