The significant events that marked this were are as follows. In March 1939, Hitler invaded Czechoslovak which was contrary to the Munich Treaty that he signed in 1938. In the very regime, Britain rearmed and reassured Poland who was being threatened by Hitler. In August 1939, Stalin and Hitler secretively signed a non-aggression pact whose aim was to ensure the division of Poland and finally on the 1st of September the very year, Germany invaded Poland. On the 3rd of September 1939, Britain and France declared war against Germany and Neville Chamberlain broadcast the declaration of the war. Allies meet at Tehran in 1943 and Rome is liberated in 1944. On the 6th June 1944, D-Day of the war was celebrated, and significant events that follow are Japanese eviction from Burma and Paris Liberation.
