Though the interview has a take on how Franklin viewed the scholar-activist it gives us other additional information about activist like Washington. The film examines the contributions of Tuskegee Institute which had been established to educate newly freed people after the civil war. The film creates scenes and interviews with famous African American activists including Washington. The film is based on true events showing extra information and other important people in the events. This helps in displaying the civil movements accurately. They show scenes with exact years of each event. It like the film is recreating the events again. This film is going to be useful and relevant to my research topic because it gives information in the point of view of someone who was actually part of the movements watching it is like having firsthand information.
