This assignment therefore seeks to investigate and discuss how the Golden Ratio is obtained from the Fibonacci numbers and the general applications of the ratio. How Golden Ratio is obtained The following numbers/sequence i. e. 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, and so on is used to obtain the Golden Ration. By exempting 0, and taking the ratio of the preceding numbers such that we have; 1/1=1 2/1=2 3/2=1. Most interesting is that, the human DNA embodies phi proportions. The beauty in women and men is based on how closely the body positions and proportions of the facial and body dimensions converge to phi, and it is for this reason that, the Golden Ratio is applied in the cosmetic dentistry and the facial plastic surgeries. Although not commonly used, Golden ratio is used to capture harmony and beauty of nature in our own construction, art, and other areas of design.
