America therefore is a republic since derives power from its people, Abraham Lincoln was the greatest American president who emphasized on this. The constitution of the United States is a central appliance of the regime of American and rule of absolute in the region. A long time now, this constitution controls the growth of managerial bodies and roots in hand for firm politics, personal freedom, societal financial growth. Independence won under the articles of confederation which had the following weaknesses. The earliest constitution of the government of America was the articles of confederacy.   The immediate cause of the dissatisfaction. The Annapolis convention in united states history was a regional meeting held in September 1786 in Maryland. It was a suggestion from James Madison and the meeting was aimed at addressing the inadequacy of articles of federation also Maryland and Virginia had differences on matters of navigation right on Potomac river and Chesapeake Bay this meeting therefore led to the discussion of interstate commerce.

Virginia legislature called for the convention of all states to discuss this matter of navigation rights differences with Maryland, at Annapolis on September 11,1786, But not all states responded it was only five states turned out, this includes; New York, new jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Virginia and therefore the convention decided to first address the inadequacies of the articles before dealing with those questions claimed by Virginia. Alexander Hamilton on September 14 drafted a report and in the report he proposed that a meeting of all the state to be held for that purpose. Attendees were John Dickson, George read and Richard basset of Delaware, Alexander Hamilton of New York and James Madison of Virginia. They amended the current US constitution and were present in both conferences, the Annapolis and this one.

The constitution got ratification in 1789 and became the utmost rule in the government of America, since then, this has been a very significant basis for the American government. There was a compromise between Virginia and New Jersey whereby Virginia’s Plan was for every state population to be represented while New Jersey called for the equal state representation. Connecticut compromise neutralized both plans and called off for two chambers congress that is the senate and the house of representation. Federalist are people who were in support of the constitution ratification, soon after constitutional convention a debate arose on whether to endorse the book of law or do the opposite. James Madison, Alexander Hamilton and John Jay took part in writtingthe federalist paper which made its first appearance amid October 1787 and August of 1788 in the New York newspapers.

The federalists, James Madison, Alexander Hamilton and John Jay decided to use their official names rather than opting for the name Publius. The papers written were known as the federalist papers and the house of representatives of New York was to approve it into laws. A number of people had the feeling that these laws will give the federal administration supreme authority and suppress the ordinary people. The bill of rights are contained in the 1st 10 amendments of the US constitution. James Madison took part in writing the amendments which prohibits governmental powers responding to a call for able constitution to protect individual freedom. The 1st amendment of the constitution protects this right and people should be allowed to worship without restriction and also to speak their ideas.

people were banned from forming rules on religion and speech freedom. 4th amendment protects right of citizens to be secure from the intrusions of government to their homesteads. Originally the American constitutions was formed to serve over 4,000,000 people in the 13 colonies in the Atlantic coast but now it serves a broad population. Due to its provisions it has received only 26 amendments. This being the governing principles of a republic, USA could not run far from this. This constitution served as a guideline to the states and other colonies.
