Qualitative Research Design in Researching about Marijuana Legalization in USA Name Institution Qualitative Research Design Qualitative research is a design used in collection and analysis of data regarding a particular issue in society. It seeks to ask the questions in a research problem systematically using procedures set to answer research questions. Qualitative research satisfies all the characteristics of scientific investigation as it applies solutions by collecting evidence and providing findings that are applicable beyond current boundaries. Qualitative research strength originates from its ability to provide a contextual explanation of people experience a particular facing society. For example many countries have controversial data they need to use open-ended questions which will give respondents an opportunity to present their view without restrictions. The nature of responses requires in-depth explanations for investigators to provide reliable findings. Applying qualitative research methods gives investigators a chance to enjoy flexibility thus seeking clarification from investigators about why they think marijuana should be legalized or prohibited.
