Innovation involves bringing new ideas and technologies in industrial production so as to meet the demands in the markets. Depending on the type of production or business a firm does, innovations can be a bit challenging to put in place even when they are available and it may take a long time to change the operation of the firm even if it is intended to improve its production. Changes have to be gradual because an abrupt change may lead to the firm collapsing or experiencing great losses. Most of the challenges faced by such firms in promoting innovation can be within the firm or from outside the firm. The company should not underrate upcoming competitors and assume the role of innovation in its productions. It should consider all customers, both the less- demanding as well as the demanding customers because they all contribute to the profits of the firm and losing any customer can have far-reaching consequences. These competitors may come up with new technologies and surpass the giant Buhler AG. Disruption is a process and the competitors will always try to find means of overtaking the incumbent and it is for this reason that the incumbent should also embark on constant innovations.
