Indian's Views of Gender One of the most important proceedings of the 21st century has been the advocacy for gender equality in many areas of the world. In India there seems to be blatant prejudice against women in the society. The views of many Indians on marriage and gender roles have hardly changed after many years of progress. Unfortunately the victims of such discriminatory opinions are mostly the Dalis and the females especially those living in the remote parts of also the political arena since it discourages the women from venturing into politics. Additionally despite the legalization of the interclass marriage unions in 1954 most Indians still dispute such unions. These tensions undeniably increase social tensions within the countries hence making it highly segregated. Without a doubt these prejudices need to be addressed as soon as possible. References Sen J.
