Russell applied his mind in a lot of fields and subjects. He is known for viewing almost everything with a philosophical perspective and his work influenced and is continuing to spread influence over the years to come. It is evident that Russell doesn’t believe in institution, revelation or mysticism. Instead, he appears to be a realist. “To him philosophy speculates about matters where exact knowledge is not yet possible. They are the ideas, so to speak, out of which a thing is built. ” (Russell, 19) Russell came up with idealists theories of perception which deals the knowledge of the outer world. His idealist theory (theory of perception) explains that the only entities that exists are the ideas that are in our minds.
