Name Professor Course Date We Know with Confidence Only When We Know Little; With Knowledge Doubt Increases Doubt can be expressed as a feeling towards uncertainty about truth. At times the uncertainty feelings can be seen as key to discovering new knowledge. However can doubt push one to expand knowledge in everyday life? To what extent can certainty change with the discovery of new knowledge? The search for truth has always been one of the most significant aims of humanity. Humans are fascinated by knowledge but excessive knowledge may cause doubt in the human psyche. How many times in our lives were we convince to know something then we were proved wrong by acquiring more knowledge? Luigi Pirandello the Sicilian a play writer addressed this issue in his book "il fu Mattia Pascal" where an apparently "ignorant" person could live a happy life without having any doubts while as This is a mechanism that occurs continuously in life every idea that is developed by the human psyche comes from previously acquired knowledge just like doubt is generated from missing factual information. Unfortunately it is not possible to live in a world of "absolute truth" and secure knowledge. Therefore doubt will always be present in everyday life. As such we may ignore uncertainty feelings that we have and end up with no discovery of new knowledge. Works Cited Barnes Barry. Scientific knowledge and sociological theory. Vol. 2. Routledge 2013. Order Description:

I am looking for corrections to my TOK (theory of knowledge) essay. Currently, i got a D, but I would like to get at least a B. You will have to correct grammar and spelling to my essay, but also edit the content by adding further details to my topic of interest. You can find explanations on the title (n.2) that you have to follow on the following websites: toktrump.wordpress.com mytok.blog My essay is on the discovery of America and how the gained knowledge increased the doubts and how the credibility of the Catholic Church diminished. The second section is on the Volkswagen scandal, while the third paragraph is a "real-life" example when you will correct it please add further philosophical details. I would like that the person that will edit my essay to be someone that knows how IB works and how also a TOK essay should be structured.
