Notably, a considerable portion of developed economies are deeply embedded in the role of education which has inspired innovations in multiple areas of the economy. To achieve this ambitious goal, learning institutions must adopt learning methodologies the equip students with skills and competencies. The seven principles of active teaching have played a significant role in disseminating knowledge in learning institutions. The seven principles highlights on some of the few approaches which if implemented will yield the desired results. The first principle, “teachers do learning task less” focuses on how tutors can arrange their work in a manner such that student do most of the work, thereby, improving learning (Weimer, 2002).
