The happiness of an individual can be influenced by different factors that are unique to each and every person. Among the already identified factors are attitudes and job satisfaction. Attitudes and job satisfaction play crucial roles in influencing how a person performs while at work. The report will try to analyse how the attitudes of employees, their level of job satisfaction can affect their motivation and organizational behaviour. Some of the relevant motivation theories will also be incorporated in the paper. Job satisfaction Job satisfaction has for long been linked with the work performance of employees in their workplaces. Job satisfaction can be described as a set of positive emotional dispositions that people gain through aspects of work (Karadağ, 2015, 29). Primarily, there exist two types of job satisfaction based on the level of a worker’s general feeling regarding his or her current job.

The global job satisfaction is the first type, and the other one is the job facet satisfaction. Global job satisfaction refers to an employee’s general feeling about the job while the other type can be defined as the feelings or emotions regarding certain aspects of the job such as the salary, privileges or benefits, and work protocol. Motivation and Organizational Behaviour at the Workplace As already explained, the attitudes, as well as the job satisfaction of workers, provide a significant impact on the motivation and organizational behaviour. Using different motivation theories, the paper will explain the close relationship between the main topic and employees’ motivation and organizational behaviour. The Causes of Employee Attitudes Research has shown that employees have a tendency of paying attention to different aspects of their immediate working places.

Some of the workplace aspects that employee will be keen on include the treatment they get while at work, the social and professional relationships they form with their colleagues and seniors, and the actual work they are employed for. Job satisfaction can be affected by the personality of an individual (Proudfoot and Kay, 2014, 178). Managers who desire to evaluate the workers as a way of enhancing their loyalty to an organization as well as retaining the employees will most likely acknowledge the fact that guidance is an aspect that affects everybody in their firms or departments (Mawhinney, 2011, 300). There are a few identified motivational theories that offer a sense of motivation to all workers and also play a role in improving the general performance entire organization.

The managers and other senior members of an organization are reasonably always concerned about the motivation of their employees. It is now evident as suggested by different experts that motivated individuals are always happy, more productive, and loyal (Mawhinney, 2011, 301). These are rare characteristics that all companies should look for when hiring. Additionally, negative attitudes of employees affect the organizational behaviour of a workplace by decreasing the efficiency of the firm (Kreitner and Kinicki, 2013, 60). The engagements of the workers are very crucial for the examination of an organization’s procedures.  Also, there are two of the different aspects of the managerial behaviour such as the satisfaction of the workers and the dissatisfaction of the workers relating to their jobs.   Researchers have over the years developed an idea that there are various ways by which the satisfaction of employees can be enhanced.

Enhancing job satisfaction can also be a way of retaining employees in a firm. Senior members of any organization should always be on the lookout for any of these issues and should also try and come up with effective strategies that will help boost the employees’ motivation in order to retain them. There is also another important relationship between the worker's performance and the organizational behaviour. The general performance of the employees in an organization is always directly affected by their motivation that can create a good as well as a bad effect on the execution of the work processes or procedures of an organization. Satisfied workers will always do their best to achieve the set targets and to also affect the expected changes in the advancement of an organization (Eby and Allen, 2012, 45).

The senior employees of any organization should do their best to establish proper training for workers which will most probably improve the general workflow in their organizations. The satisfaction of employees can be measured by evaluating their responses about the availability of promotional chances, how they are treated at work, or if they are satisfied by the pay the job offers. Both attitudes and job satisfaction can be influenced by the personality of the employees, salary paid, and other situational factors. The paper has identified that the different categories of attitudes and how they impact the motivation of employees. To understand the relationship between organizational behavior and attitudes, it is important that one notes that a person will always act in certain ways after he or she has already formed an attitude.
